Send us a text

Abundant forgiveness is within reach, just waiting for your acceptance. Today we draw hope and inspiration from Isaiah 55:6-7 and Jeremiah 3:14-15. This Word of the Day series, a new twice-weekly addition, aims to encourage and inspire by focusing on God's yearning to forgive and the importance of repentance. There is an urgency to accept divine mercy before time runs out. Today you can enjoy a deeper connection with the the Lord.

Speaker 1:

Hey, family, it's great to have you back. How are you today? Happy Friday, happy Friday, welcome to our new Word of the Day series. Just a quick note to say that this series will not replace the weekly podcast episodes. Right, I got you, the weekly episodes are not going away. However, I just felt the need to connect with you, my people, on a more frequent basis, and so I've added this word of the day series just to stay in contact a couple more days out of the week, and for now we'll aim for wednesdays and fridays. That's, that's the goal for this word of the day series. So you can consider the word of the day series as series, as sort of your bonus content, and they're usually very brief, just to connect with you and provide you with an uplifting, inspiring, encouraging word between episodes. And we'll still aim to put out the weekly podcast episodes on Mondays. You definitely want to make sure that you follow, subscribe, share with friends, share with family, to spread the love, as they say, and also, just in case there's any delay in the release of the weekly episodes or the word of the day, you'll get that notification as soon as they are released.

Speaker 1:

So today's word comes to us from the 55th chapter of Isaiah, verses 6 and 7. And it says Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the Lord and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Now I want you to focus on those two words right there abundantly pardon. Not just pardon, but abundantly pardon. Let me say this to you, I'm talking directly to you God desires to forgive you, god wants to you, god wants to, longs to, yearns to pardon you. And there's just one requirement repentance. Say it with me. Repentance To support the scripture in Isaiah 55, 6 and 7, we can take a look at Jeremiah 3, verses 14 and 15, which says seek, which says return, omex, lighting children, says the Lord, for I am married to you, I will take you one from a city and two from a family and I will bring you to Zion.

Speaker 1:

Well, let me pause right there. You need a Zion, you need a foundation, you need a home, you need a community of faith-believing people who are going to be there for you, support you, encourage you, uplift you. You need a Zion, yes, yes, and I will bring you to Zion and I will give you shepherds, according to my heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. According to my heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding? Who's feeding you? Well, that's another word for another day. Well, you see, friends, that's how precious you are to our God. God says I am married to you.

Speaker 1:

However, coming humbly before him with a repentant heart is a key step, as we see in Psalm 38, 18,. David says I will declare my iniquity, I will be in anguish over my sin. If we refer once again to Isaiah 55, six and seven, the phrases while he may be found and while he is near, both remind us that time really is not on our side. No, it's not. And so God's mercy awaits you, his abundant pardon awaits you. Don't delay If you'd like to accept Christ as your Savior and Lord.

Speaker 1:

I'm committed to guiding you through that process. Of course, I could just tell you to say a smooth little mantra and you're in. But on this journey toward eternal salvation, you will need a guide, you will need a coach, you will need a mentor, because sometimes the road gets a little lonely, and so I'm offering to connect with you If you feel alone, isolated. You're looking for a new path. You're looking for a new walk, searching for a new foundation in which you could anchor your weary soul. I want you to reach out to me. Yeah, if this speaks to you, I really would like for you to reach out to me, and I'm going to make this real easy for you.
